MONROVIA — The Liberia Football Association (LFA) Ethics Committee has officially cleared Determine Girls Football Club President Hawa Grace Weah of all allegations after a complaint filed against her was formally withdrawn and the case subsequently closed.

In a statement issued on Monday, June 8, 2026, the Ethics Committee confirmed that it had accepted the withdrawal of a complaint lodged by Rochelle G.D. Woodson concerning alleged irregularities involving travel tickets linked to Liberia’s women’s champion participation in the WAFU Zone A Competition in Dakar, Senegal.
According to the Committee, the matter was initially brought to its attention following allegations made by Woodson, who had been designated as the Head of Delegation for the regional tournament.
After conducting a preliminary review of the complaint, the Committee received a formal written request from Woodson seeking to withdraw the case.
The Ethics Committee noted that the request was submitted voluntarily, indicating that the complainant no longer wished to pursue the matter.
“As a result, the Ethics Committee formally accepted the withdrawal and ordered the case closed,” the statement said.
The Committee further clarified that no disciplinary proceedings were completed against Weah and that no sanctions were imposed on the Determine Girls FC boss, effectively bringing an end to the administrative standoff.
“The Committee confirms that no disciplinary proceedings or sanctions have been entered against Ms. Grace Weah,” the statement added.
Weah Welcomes Decision
Reacting to the Committee’s ruling, Weah expressed profound relief and gratitude, describing the outcome as the end of a challenging chapter in her football administration career.
In a statement released shortly after the announcement, the Determine Girls FC president thanked supporters, colleagues, and members of the football community who stood by her during the dispute, which originally saw her hit with a controversial suspension by the LFA Secretariat in 2025.
“Today, I wish to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to everyone who stood by me during a very difficult period,” Weah said.
She described the decision to completely exonerate her as humbling and thanked the LFA Ethics Committee for what she termed a fair and professional process.
“I would also like to thank the LFA Ethics Committee for the professional, fair, and thorough manner in which they handled the matter. Their commitment to due process and justice is appreciated, and I respect the integrity of the process that led to my exoneration,” she stated.

Weah reserved special praise for the Determine Girls FC family, including the players, coaches, technical staff, management, and fans, whom she credited for helping her remain strong during the public controversy.
“Your unwavering belief in me, your encouragement, and your loyalty throughout this challenging time gave me the strength to remain focused and confident in the truth,” she said.
She also acknowledged Woodson’s decision to pull back the charges, noting that the move allowed the local football governing body to settle the matter and bring total closure to the issue.
“My gratitude also goes to Ms. Rochelle Woodson for withdrawing her complaint, allowing the matter to be resolved and bringing closure to a difficult chapter,” Weah added.
With the legal clouds now cleared, Weah stated that her attention will firmly return to football development, particularly maintaining the dominance of Determine Girls FC and driving the growth of women’s football across Liberia.
“This experience has reinforced my belief in perseverance, patience, and faith,” she said. “As I move forward, my focus remains on serving Determine Girls FC, supporting the growth of women’s football, and contributing positively to the development of the game in Liberia.”
The Ethics Committee’s final ruling clears the path for Weah to resume her executive football activities without restrictions.
