PAYNESVILLE – ACTIVA International Insurance Company Liberia has expanded its reach with the launch of a new Point of Sale (POS) near the Liberia Traffic Management (LTM) Office in Paynesville, outside Monrovia, a move aimed at making insurance services more accessible and convenient for motorists and the general public.

The new facility, officially opened on Friday, June 19 will provide customers with quick access to motor insurance services, including comprehensive and third-party motor insurance, while reducing the need for clients to travel to the company’s headquarters on 5th Street in Sinkor, Monrovia.
Speaking during the launch ceremony, ACTIVA Marketing & Business Development Head, Nathan S. Bengu, Jr., described the opening as a
significant milestone in the company’s operations and commitment to customer service.
“We are here today to complete a major milestone in ACTIVA’s operations,” Bengu said. “Customers who are visiting the Traffic Management office for vehicle registration or document renewal can now conveniently obtain their insurance coverage here in less than five minutes.”
He noted that the facility is staffed with professional sales personnel capable of processing insurance policies efficiently and providing clients with the necessary documentation, including insurance certificates, stickers and ECOWAS Brown Cards.
The company’s Managing Officer In Charge, Willis Allen, said the establishment of the POS reflects ACTIVA’s commitment to customer accessibility and convenience.
“Today, we open this point of sale adjacent to the Traffic Management office with the objective of making ACTIVA more accessible to both our existing and prospective clients,” he said.
“Insurance is about trust and ACTIVA has built that trust across Africa. We are making ourselves available to better serve our clients and address their insurance needs.”
Mr. Allen emphasized that the company’s guiding principle, “Our Clients, Our Passion,” continues to drive its expansion strategy and customer-focused initiatives.
Also speaking at the event, ACTIVA’s Non-Life Insurance Manager, Cyrus L. Green, described the opening as an important achievement in the company’s distribution strategy.
“A key component of insurance distribution is accessibility,” Mr. Greene said.
“This point of sale signifies the beginning of a broader expansion effort that will extend to several other locations across the country. We have established this Point of Sale because we recognize the need to bring our services closer to our customers.”
According to Mr. Greene, the new outlet will initially focus on non-life insurance products, particularly motor insurance, due to its strategic location near the Traffic Management office.
He added that the company may introduce additional insurance products in the future based on customer demand and market assessments.
“We will primarily offer comprehensive and third-party motor insurance, but we also intend to provide other non-life products, including fire and asset insurance,” he explained. “Our goal is to deliver seamless insurance services while offering customers an experience that reflects ACTIVA’s standards across Liberia and the rest of Africa.”
ACTIVA officials said the Paynesville POS forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen customer outreach and improve access to insurance services nationwide.
The company, which has operated in Liberia for more than a decade, reaffirmed its commitment to providing reliable insurance solutions and maintaining its position as one of the region’s leading insurance providers.
The ceremony concluded with the Managing Officer In Charge officially declaring the point of sale open for business, marking the start of operations at the new Paynesville location.
