Paynesville, — The Ministry of Youth and Sports has intensified its engagement with key stakeholders in Liberian football, calling for calm and strict adherence to international statutes and national laws amid ongoing developments within the sport.

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Atty. Cornelia W. Kruah, recently held a series of separate consultative meetings with prominent football figures, including Mustapha Raji and Cassell Anthony Kuoh. The engagements, conducted at different intervals, form part of the Ministry’s effort to remain informed and constructively involved in matters affecting football governance in Liberia.
According to the Ministry, the meetings provided a platform for open dialogue, allowing the Minister to listen to the perspectives of the respective stakeholders while gaining deeper insight into the issues currently shaping discussions within the football community.
During the consultations, Minister Kruah reaffirmed the Government of Liberia’s commitment to the statutes of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), emphasizing that adherence to these regulations is critical to preserving the integrity, independence, and proper administration of football in the country.
At the same time, she stressed the importance of upholding the laws of Liberia, noting the vital role of the Supreme Court in ensuring justice and addressing legal disputes that may arise within the sector.
The Ministry highlighted that respect for established processes both local and international remains key to resolving disputes and maintaining stability within football governance.
Stakeholders were therefore encouraged to pursue constructive engagement through appropriate channels.
Reiterating its support for dialogue, the Ministry called on all parties to embrace peaceful engagement, mutual respect, and patience, especially at a time when unity is essential for the growth and development of Liberian football.
In light of the ongoing discussions, the Ministry urged stakeholders, supporters, and the general public to remain calm and exercise restraint, emphasizing that a measured approach will foster meaningful dialogue and sustainable outcomes.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent, peaceful, and rules-based process, pledging continued engagement with relevant stakeholders in the best interest of Liberian football.
