Liberia: Over 250 Students Benefit from Rep. Kolleh’s Career Guidance Program

Gbarnga –Over 250 twelfth-grade students, neatly dressed in their school uniforms, assembled in the gymnasium of the William V. S. Tubman Gray School in Gbarnga, Bong County, to participate in a Career Day program organized and sponsored by Bong County Electoral District #2 Representative, Hon. James M. Kolleh.

Speaking during the program, Hon. Kolleh described the initiative as the first in a series of educational engagements aimed at preparing students for their future career paths and helping them make informed decisions about their roles in society.

According to the lawmaker, although many people, including himself, did not have the opportunity to benefit from pre-career guidance during their school years, he is committed to ensuring that current and future twelfth graders in Bong County receive such exposure and mentorship.

More than ten professionals from various fields, including law, medicine, engineering, accounting, nursing, economics, social work, law enforcement, and journalism, served as lecturers during the event.

The speakers shared personal experiences about their educational journeys and professional careers while encouraging students to carefully choose careers that align with their passions and goals.

The students expressed gratitude to Hon. Kolleh for organizing the initiative, noting that the lectures positively influenced their thinking and broadened their understanding of different career opportunities. They praised the lawmaker for bringing together experts and specialists to mentor them and wished him success as he continues to represent the people of District #2, Bong County, in the 55th Legislature.

The event was also attended by the County Education Officer (CEO) and several District Education Officers (DEOs) from across Bong County.
