The event, held on Saturday, brought together several community leaders and senior government officials, including House Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon.

Addressing the gathering, Rep. Toles disclosed that since 2009 he declared his intention to serve the people of Montserrado County District 8.

Rep. Toles ran in 2011 for the first time and lost to former Representative Moses Acarus Gray. A repeat of that defeat also took place in 2017 to the same man, former Representative Gray.

“In 2023 the people said he is ready now. We will give this thing to him and so the people put the district in our hands. So, from 2009 to 2023 we were not just sitting. We had a plan. We saw all of the missteps from our predecessor,” Rep. Toles said.

“We knew that they were playing with your feelings and they were playing with your future and our children’s future. So we thought to take a different path and that path is the path that we are on right now,” he added.

According to the Montserrado County District #8 Representative, his predecessor for the past 12 years was building toilets, something he says is unacceptable for the current dispensation.

“We will not stop, some of them are vexed. They say why the man come he is building big, big things. Why he is not building toilet,” he said.

According to Rep. Toles, the building will not just serve for events but it will benefit many people in the district.

Rep. Toles continued, “In this day and age it is not for me Prince Toles to dedicate toilet. I got conscious, I got children. I want to do the right thing today and even if I’m not Representative it will stay with you.”

“We are trying to do meaningful things. Because we believe in you so we want you to be self-sufficient. so you can be able to rise your own money. We want to make sure that we empower you,” he stated.

Rep. Toles named the construction of the police station, the children’s playground, school buses, micro loan, and many other projects that are soon to be dedicated.

Also speaking, House Speaker Koon praised Rep.  Toles for the great work he is doing both at the House of Representatives and for the people of Montserrado County District 8.

“The man is putting his susu, building event hall, he is building police station, children play ground, micro loan, your enjoying it, that your time to eat, in 2029 will be his time to eat his susu,” Speaker Koon said.

“They say Honorable Toles is a bluff boy so I say but wait, you expect someone that lived his whole life in the city to be looking like some people? Forget the issue of him being a bluff boy or pretty boy and look at his deliverables in two years some months,” he added.

Adding up, Whroway Bryant, Superintendent of Montserrado County, praised Rep.  Toles for building such a modern event hall that will serve the people of his district.

“I heard somebody says this look like a hotel then I say why is it not look like a modern school, or modern health center, what they excepted that this illustrate and very developmental oriented young man could have built a way back hall. So, for them to see a modern hall like this they was surprised. This just the one of the many that will come,” Supt. Bryant said.

Also, the City Mayor of Monrovia, John-Charuk Siafa, praised Representative Toles, calling him a result-oriented man.

“You are a result oriented young man. I have been to more than two projects since you became a lawmaker. What for Cesar let us give to Cesar and what for Representative Toles let us give it to Representative Toles,” Mayor Siafa said.

Wesley D.M. Nyenatos also made a statement on behalf of the UP Executive Committee at the Jallah Town Event Hall dedication. “Only Government Toilets and getting married in Paris We Knew from past lawmaker,” he said.

A member of the Montserrado County District 8 Community Alliance also expressed appreciation during the ceremony: “Only government toilets we knew from Acarous Gray since 2011. Now in just two years we didn’t know we can get this kind of building. Thank you Hon. Toles, we will pay you 2029,” he added.
