The initiative aims to gather citizens’ views, foster collaboration on development activities  and improve living conditions throughout the county.

Chiefs, elders, women  and citizens have continued to endorse the senator and pledge their support during his visits. So far, he has covered seven of the 37 chiefdoms.

“We as chiefs, elders, women  and citizens of Nimba County made no mistake in electing you as our senator, Nya D. Twayen Jr.,” they said.

“You have made us proud in the county and the country at large. Your advocacy has brought changes at ArcelorMittal Liberia’s operations, leading the mining company to employ more Nimbaians. Citizens from Gbehyi Duayee and eight surrounding towns have joined in realizing your dreams and visions.’’

“We will continue to pray for you and support your dreams as you advocate for us,” they added. “You keep putting the feet of companies and institutions to the fire for Nimbaians and the country.”

Thousands of Nimbaians and supporters have welcomed the senator in large crowds, expressing gratitude for his advocacy, legislative work and behaviour.

Chiefs, elders and residents have voiced their happiness while joining him on the tour.

Senior Adviser to Nimba County’s Traditional Council, Harris Zuah of Gbehyi Duayee, along with residents of eight other Gbehyi towns, rallied alongside other Nimbaians to support Senator Twayen as he tours the 37 chiefdoms.

Addressing the crowds, Senator Twayen acknowledged the warm receptions and explained that the tour is designed to hear directly from citizens about their challenges and to explore joint solutions for development.

He pledged to continue his strong advocacy and representation in the Liberian Senate while undertaking various development initiatives across the county.
