
MONROVIA – The Grand Cape Mount County version of the Liberia Kickball Federation (LKF) league got off to an exciting start over the weekend at the Sinje Town Garwula District sports pitch, with participating teams delivering impressive performances in the opening fixtures.

Among the standout teams is Tewor United Sisters, who have sent a strong early message to their rivals following a dominant start to the campaign.
The team secured a convincing 4–0 home run victory over Sinje Kickball Team on Saturday, before being awarded an additional two points on Sunday after Kinjor United Girls failed to honor their scheduled fixture.
With six points from two games, Tewor United Sisters now sit comfortably among the early leaders, boosting confidence within the camp.
Setting Title Ambitions
Speaking in an exclusive interview, the club’s Chief Executive Officer, C. Tonia Fahnbulleh, described the team’s opening performance as clear evidence of their readiness to compete for the league title.
“I’m pleased with the performance of the team,” Fahnbulleh said. “The victory shows that we are prepared for the title race, but we must remain focused because the league has just started.”
Fahnbulleh credited the team’s early progress to six months of consistent preparation under the guidance of Coach Amadu K. Fahnbulleh.
The club CEO also urged the players to maintain discipline both on and off the field.
“As you have started with a win, I want you to continue winning until our dream of lifting the title becomes a reality,” he added, encouraging the players to balance their sporting ambitions with their academic responsibilities.
Other League Results
The opening weekend featured a series of highly competitive matches across Grand Cape Mount County.
Mighty Garwula beat Kingjit United 8-4 home runs while Mano Kickball team secure a 3-2 home runs win over United Girls.
Additionally, Tewor United Sisters were awarded points following Kinjor’s second no-show, further strengthening their early position in the standings.
As the league continues, attention will remain on Tewor United Sisters to see if they can maintain their momentum and turn early promise into championship success in the Grand Cape Mount County kickball league
