Mano Kickball Club Extends Unbeaten Run, Tightens Grip on Top Spot in Cape Mount League

The victory, secured in the second match of the day’s fixtures, firmly consolidates Mano’s position at the summit of the league standings.

The team now sits at 16 points from six matches, reinforcing its status as the prime title favorite this season. Conversely, United Girls remain stagnant at fifth on the table after suffering another blow to their campaign.

Mano’s dominance this season has been anchored on discipline, consistency, and cohesive team play qualities that were fully displayed against United Girls.

The league leaders controlled the tempo from the opening whistle.

Speaking  during a post-match press briefing Mano Head Coach Zico Dorleh praised his squad’s momentum but warned against complacency as the league enters a critical phase.

“Our unbeaten record is an encouraging step forward for the team, but there is still a lot of work to do,” Dorleh said. “I want to thank the players for their commitment and dedication. They have responded positively to training and have continued to perform well on the field.”

He added: “We must remain focused and continue working hard because our ultimate goal is to win the league title. I am proud of them, but I am urging them to maintain their discipline and continue this momentum until the end of the season.”

Mighty Garwula Stay in Pursuit

Earlier in the day, Mighty Garwula held onto second place after being awarded three points and five home runs, following the failure of Kinjor United Sisters to honor their scheduled fixture.

The forfeit propelled Mighty Garwula to 11 points from six matches, keeping them within striking distance of the league leaders.

Mighty Garwula Chief Executive Officer Musa M. Kamara welcomed the outcome but challenged his players to stay sharp as the title race intensifies. Kamara attributed the team’s current success to improved tactical discipline and superior ball control, emphasizing the need for consistency in the remaining fixtures.

“Our objective is to compete for the championship, and the players must continue to show commitment and tactical awareness in every game,” Kamara noted.

Following the forfeit, Kinjor United Sisters remain rooted to the bottom of the standings with just two points from six matches.

Tewor United Sisters Secure Important Victory

In the final match of the day, Tewor United Sisters defeated Sinje Kickball Team 5-2 home runs in an entertaining, high-scoring encounter to solidify their hold on third place.

With the competition heating up, Mano Kickball Club remains the team to beat in Grand Cape Mount County. Having yet to taste defeat this season, the league leaders continue to set a fierce pace. As the campaign progresses, all eyes will be on whether Mano can sustain its unbeaten streak and convert its flawless form into championship glory.
